Sick as a Dog

This past week, my sister had a little bit of a lapse in judgment.

She decided that it would be a good idea to hug me repeatedly after she had snuggled up next to her honey bunches of oats (aka her boyfriend), who happened to be sick with a cold.

A few hours later, I could not breathe. My nose was so stuffed up and runny, falling asleep was awful. Drinking and eating was hard because the only way I could breathe was through my mouth. It is QUITE hard to get oxygen to your brain when your only source of air happens to have some sort of food item in it.

I felt like I was wearing the CLOAK OF DEATH.

Okay, not really.

But I am getting over it! I've only had for about 4 days now and I think in a couple more days, I should be cured of the plague.

But I discovered something about myself: I still hate cherry flavored cough syrup. Just the thought of it snds shivers down my spine. When I was younger, I could only tolerate the bubblegum flavored medicine, and I still believe this holds through.

But unless I want to drink Tylenol Children's Cold and Flu for the rest of my life, I'm kinda stuck. Looks as if I just have to put on my big girl panties and deal.

Here's to becoming an adult! *drinks tablespoon of cough syrup*
